Sybaritic – a poem

Amidst those deserts crowded with skeletons

The realms reflect up to dire heaven no sleep,

Lives led through the darkly yawning night

Upon whose sybaritically toilsome points glimmer

As stars pinned there, kaleidoscopic drive upwards.

Wished for in ecstasy dries as reality intercedes

Long after expressions and desires have faded

To dust, subsumed in the fire of pulsing hot kindling,

Resurrected from ashes drawn into singular crucibles

For reactions in the catalytic sense, powered thereby…
