Closing Circles – a poem

A fitting conclusion to extended dramas comes

Round full circle, hoped for ends tire out the spirit

Used to shorter trips, sharper, narrower hallways

Where sounds ring out, deafening loud across

These enclosed spaces, plain dreams dying…


Oceans rise and circles join together, volcanoes

Spew underwater shapes which form as they cool,

Stories in the new rock made with special tales

That drive awareness of time, limits of self,

The same journeys ever repeated, anon…
