Heat Stolen – a poem

Again the ice comes…we strive to survive

Amidst floes and foreign landscapes glinting

Under the sun so warm yet so cold, glitter

Of ice beneath the golden rays hard, hard,

A prisoner’s ransom in all that stolen heat.
