Limitations – a poem

Those unseen limitations set from within

Without conscious choice, realised far after

Their strange and slow inception hiding

In years past when formed like stalactites

Dripping into oblivious puddles of rigidity.

So they build, entire worlds of steady horror

At the outside, the freedom to be, separate

From concerns of keeping to the given quo

For our own safety, or what we see as danger;

To throw off the shackles, arms wide, realise.
