Casual Insouciance – a poem

Blazing down with coldly cloudless cruelty,

That orb illumes bare truths uncaring,

The pale things in the darkest of places

Going unlit for ultra insouciance

In the face of overt overtures, glaring.

Spinal tap for fluid overloaded, hyper

Dreams locked in that viscous flow,

Tingles for fake signals along locks

Better kept by torn cuffs of sense

Too long in the black, now confused.

Insouciant, the greatest evil is apparent

In trivial matters, those representations

Which stare on despite having been told,

Knowing elsewise what is and was, yet

Forever stony, uncaring, hard of heart.
