Lauded yet Lost – a poem

Lauded by screen and allowed from afar,

The close up confrontation of curiousity

Appals the casual beholder as courses

The madness in lines of genius, stories

Told without context.

*

We rove the catacombs of consciousness,

Praying for droplets in the dust, dry

Throats and shattered minds, bereft

Of hope, of the stories wherein roam

Heroes without compare.
